Training

Now the fine weather has arrived training can step up a gear, now easily doing 50 miles at a time - combined with the extreme North East hills this is well good.
Ballistol have come up trumps with the Cycle Clothing so looking the part as well.

Donations

All donations welcome and will be passed on to the Chris Lucas Trust via http://www.justgiving.com/michaelnicholson2.
In the past I have raised money for Cancer Research and the Blind, although I have no children myself I feel we should help our future generations therefore I have chose a Childrens Foundation local to the North east.
July sees us Cycling the Coast to Coast from Whitehaven to Sunderland which is about 140 miles - no short-cuts for the Three Giants.
August - we are taking the North East coast on in the Great North Bike Ride from Seahouses to Tynemouth about 54 miles - this time on my Claud Butler road bike for that added speed.

Sponsor

Got to give a big thanks to all who have helped along the way so far.
www.ballistoluk.co.uk are supplying full support in the way of support vehicle, clothing, sponsorship, web building and mostly Eco Friendly lubricants for all aspects of Cycling.
Both events are been fully supported by this company - they even have a representative to follow and post all the action as it happens.
Local support has been Key as it should be in this current economic climate - all servicing and upgrades were undertaken at Mo-Tech in Consett.
www.souloflife.co.uk - you may not have heard of Julie - a massage is essential in training, re-vitalising muscle abuse and toxin build up.

Great North Bike Ride

Great North Bike Ride will be a great day out for all to enjoy along with raising money to help our future generations through pain and suffering.
After tackling the coast to coast on Giant I am taking to Claud Butler to help me along the course, I want a good time - for my own battles but in all I want money for the Charity.
For those of you who are foreign to the North East - this stretches from Sea Houses to Tynemouth which is apprx. 54 miles
The bike has been converted for speed, changing the back wheel and gearage (high an understatement) - still Shimano of course.
Over the next few weeks I will stepping my training up in and around the Consett area so if you see me - please wave.

Finally caught one of the three Giants training - both of these North East hills are steeper than they look. Whickham bank is long and getting grip in the trees is tough and slow - steady as you go !!!

Coast to Coast

Join myself and 2 friends as we ride from Whitehaven to Sunderland(140 miles) over two days, pictures and video will be taken along the way.
